Kevin Montgomery recently published his first novel, Six Winter Days.
Ever hear of the Battle of Trenton in the Revolutionary War, when Washington crossed the Delaware? Of course you have. Everybody has. But what about Trenton-Two? Ever hear about that? Probably not.
The story is set in the Revolutionary War, and is the story of Trenton-Two, and by extension, Princeton.
It’s called Six Winter Days because it starts on a Sunday and ends on a Friday. There’s no backstory, no flashbacks, no mind-numbing lecture on the Stamp Act Congress, the Boston Massacre, or the reasons for the war. I barely even mention the First Battle Trenton. I expect that the reader will know all of those things.
Enjoy. You might even find some Benjamin Franklin quotes you hadn’t heard before.
